TL DR- Honestly, to me, while they weren't terrible, they just kind of felt extra and pointless, and just made me realize we don't need anymore types. Honestly, I think re-balancing the current types is a much better thing to do than adding new types. Besides, new types would need to include all sorts of re-balancing and would just be too complicated. I honestly used to think even 17 types was enough, but Fairy was admittedly desperately needed to nerf Dragon, Fighting, and Dark types, and give an offensive buff to Poison and Steel types.īut more than 18 types is just pushing it in my honest opinion. It is fire type, deals no initial damage, and has 15pp. The move is known by Varaneous upon capture. It acts in a similar way to Spikes, with burn infliction instead of flat damage. 18 is a perfectly round big number already.
